About the artist: Cat Chiu Phillips creates installation work in public spaces often using traditional handicraft methods. By using various found materials including plastic and electronic waste, discarded items became an interest because of its contextual value. Inevitably this has inspired her to create installation and public art projects using various recycled products. She has many national and international public art commissions and has been an educator in the public schools for over 18 years. |
