Make It Yourself
Our popular weekly, FREE multigenerational Community Art Classes are back!

Saturdays, 11am-1pm (**New time!**)
June 1st through August 24th 2024

New multi-media activities are offered each week and taught by professional artists and educators from our Artist in Residence program.

This is a drop-in class...just show up. All ages and all abilities are welcome.
Classes are held outside in our beautiful Garden. Bring the family and a picnic!

Your clay will be taken to be fired and can be picked up the following week.

Dirt Painting with Helena Westra
​
Come play with dirt in the garden! Make your own dirt paintings on paper using paintbrushes, glue, and locally harvested dirt.

All ages are welcome, and all materials are provided, though you are free to bring your own dirt or sand if you'd like to. Come by, pop in, drop in, and stay as long or as little as you please. Get dirty!

custom stamp for printing on paper, cards, or whatever you can imagine. Materials and

Join Brian & Ryan at the Make It Yourself workshop to construct a contraption that rolls, bounces, slides, paints, crashes, mark-makes or can do whatever else you can imagine. Materials and tools will be available to accommodate all ages and skill levels.

Embroidery with Claudia Cano

Embroidery can act as a community activity that promotes interpersonal interactions and communal cohesion while providing opportunities for individual artistic expression.

In this embroidery workshop, participants will learn the satin stitch used in traditional textiles and create their own bookmark. Claudia Cano created her own fabric designs and invites participants to embroider flowers, animals, or insect motifs.
