About Diana’s Residency at Art Produce:
"In this residency, I am focusing on delving deeper into paper-based experimentation, specifically by creating hand-sewn paper garments that blend the visual appeal and distinctive features of piñatas with wearables. I intend to use humble materials like paper, plastic, and cardboard, challenging their conventional roles as traditional art mediums. By the end of the residency, I will present the paper garments in recreated traditional domestic settings to facilitate conversations with the community around the ideas of gendered expectations, household traditions, and rituals."
