Kim Sweeney
Cooler Room Artist in Residence

About the Artist:

Kim Sweeney is a self-taught visual artist born and raised in San Diego. Working from intergenerational memory and personal experience, her colorful, dynamic vignettes reveal the complexity and fluidity of Asian-American identities. Kim has already been included in various important exhibitions including “Left Coast”, juried by Ken Harman Hashimoto at the Marin Museum of Contemporary Art, as well as “Reflections on Home”, at Oakland Asian Cultural Center. Her inclusion in the latter received press with an interview in Forbes Magazine.
