Our popular weekly, FREE multigenerational Community Art Classes are back! Saturdays, 12-2pm June 3rd through August 26th 2023 New multi-media activities are offered each week and taught by professional artists and educators from our Artist in Residence program. This is a drop-in class...just show up. All ages and all abilities are welcome. Classes are held outside in our beautiful Garden. Bring the family and a picnic! Made from simple materials like straws and yarn, Tensegrity—developed by Buckminster Fuller and sculptor Kenneth Snelson—uses tension and compression to make structures that are light, strong, and capable of dynamic movement. Since then “bio-tensegrity” has become a useful model of how all living things, including the human body are constructed and move.
