About the Exhibit:
"I collect objects everywhere I go. Throughout my daily encounters I look for unique things that have the potential to transform. For this installation, I have taken hundreds of tiny, found objects and built an arrangement down the length of the Art Produce Gallery.
The arrangement is comprised of many unique groupings. The groups are built in the gallery and focus on unlikely relationships between objects. The arrangement as a whole transforms the found information into a large, code-like layout. This work is meant to change each time it is presented. As the collection grows and the space changes, so will the formation of the arrangement."
About the Artist:
"My work primarily consists of sculpture, installation, and performance. I am currently interested in extending the idea of found information. I like to participate in my world by collecting objects and images and creating a new unexpected experience with the augmented information. My process is an experiment which follows the notion of the work in aims of unlikely discovery."
Max Lofano is an emerging San Diego Artist. He holds a BA in Sculpture from San Diego State University.
