So Many Hours in the Day
March 5 to May 3, 2015
Opening Reception ~ Saturday, March 14th 6-9pm
Ongoing gallery hours: Thursday-Saturday 1-5pm (starting Saturday, March 7th)
In So Many Hours in the Day, Michelle has constructed a knitted environment made from used t-shirts and many hours, where passers-by can join in and knit on giant table-top looms.
About the Artist:
Michelle Montjoy laughs loudly, gesticulates wildly, sometimes eats with her mouth open and has large unfiltered opinions. Being called tiny is insulting to her, getting older is frustrating solely because she has to pause from time to time. She makes great pies, and eats a lot of cereal for dinner, walks her neighborhood incessantly, and feels most alive while trolling for ideas. Michelle is devoted to her family, and cherishes her circles of friends. Making art; as object, image or experience is what Michelle has done all her life.
