TIME MUST BE FORGOTTEN is a durational performance and installation in flux at
Art Produce. The artist will be working in the Cooler Room for a set schedule every day
of the residency. The installation explores the artist’s studio as a stage for happenings to
occur and change, proposing the city as a site of endless potential for queer futurity.

About the Artist:
Nathan Storey is an interdisciplinary artist living and working in Southern California. His experimental studio practice investigates how vision is constructed, queer desire as survival, and printmaking as an act of resistance. Through engaging methodologies of collage, print, and performance, Storey composes installations, happenings, and images that reckon with the body, language, culture, and nature.
Recent and upcoming projects include installations and performances at University of California San Diego, La Jolla; Ohio University Art Gallery, Athens; Prattsville Art Center, Prattsville; The LGBT Center, New York; Castillo de Luna, Rota-Cádiz; PS120, Berlin; Assembly Room, New York; 80WSE Gallery, New York; The Institute of Fine Arts, New York; Honey's, Brooklyn; New York University, New York; Columbia University, New York; and the Houston Center for Photography, Houston.
Storey is currently pursuing a Master’s of Fine Arts from the University of California, San Diego in La Jolla, California. He holds a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts with high honors from New York University. In 2019, they founded SUBLIMATION, supporting exploratory and cross-disciplinary works by underrepresented and queer artists at STELLAR PROJECTS in New York's Lower East Side.
