In Other Words, Other Worlds is an immersive experience created by visual artist Summer Dunsmore. Summer works with video, dance, collage and text in order to represent the coalescing nature of new media arts, arts activism and feminist critique. By devising a visual body language - with each individual creating their own set of outputs, origin stories, instincts, and semiotics - performers and art-goers are invited to interact with the words and give them new meaning with movement.

"As a documentary storyteller, I am fascinated with new media narratives concerning the body, social movements, and shared art spaces. Through creating spatial installations and incorporating digital aesthetics into my work, I propose a critical theory of media concerned with the flow of expression in the internet age, ethical uses of technology, and representations of the feminine body."

Summer is currently an MFA candidate in the Experimental and Documentary Arts program at Duke University.
