Creating New Space: Women Effecting Change through Media and Performance Arts

PANEL + Immersive/Interactive Installation


Friday, September 29th
Discussion begins 6:30pm - followed by performance demonstration at 7:30pm


Panel & conversation with presented 40N artists Summer Dunsmore (Duke MFA '18) and Zaquia Salinas (Saint Mary's MFA '17), alongside immersive theater and multimedia performer Haylee Nichele (Punchdrunk, Third Rail Productions, Heidi Duckler).

Immersive/Interactive Dance Media Installations: Art Produce Gallery & Community Room run Thursday 9/28 – Saturday 9/30: 6-10pm

In Other Words, Other Worlds - Summer Dunsmore  
In the Art Produce Gallery, Dunsmore presents a live & interactive video collage with audience as dancer - at times inserting a dance artist into the audience to activate the video environment through movement.

​the loneliest part of here is now - Zaquia Salinas
In the Art Produce Community Room, local performer Salinas presents a contrasting environment - constructing an environment which brings her projected film to the viewers’ fingertips.
