2020 AiR+
Artists in Residence Exhibit September 20th to November 14th 2020 In celebration of our 2020 cohort of artists, as well as Art Produce's 20th Anniversary, we are excited to exhibit a rotating installation in the Art Produce Gallery to include multiple works by each artist, including dance and performance video, audio pieces, and writing. Each resident artist has also been invited to nominate an additional artist (+) to be included in the exhibit.
Along with works presented in the physical space, additional works are presented here, in the virtual space, in this online Gallery. New exhibiting artists, nominated by our current Artists in Residence, are rotating in on October 20th. Welcome to Ryan Bulis, Flavia D'Urso, Alofa Gould, Mayce Keeler, and David Peña! I Will Not Carry You - 2020 Installation
Salt based deteriorating vessel forms surrounding the ceramic original from which they were made. This project suggests systems intended to effect sameness and the production of the ideal. Through the bodily material of salt the expectations of such a system rupture with the failure to replicate the intended original that can be of use. |
