Thursday, March 13th 4:30-6:00pm
In the Art Produce Garden

Suggested Donation $15
Space is limited.

Take home herbs to dry, cuttings to propagate, trees to plant.....pick your salad and make fresh lavender lemonade!

Topics include:
  • Fruit tree pruning for health, size and optimal fruit production.
  • Fruit tree planting.
  • Fertilizing and on-going care.
  • Making and using compost tea.
  • Pest and health issues.
Things to bring:
  • Gloves and pruning shears (we'll have extra as well).
  • Plant and pest questions.
  • Smiles.



Nicole Schott
 is a horticulturist, landscape designer and children's garden instructor.  She has degrees in Landscape Design, Nursery Technology, Arboriculture, Landscape Technology & Irrigation Technology from Cuyamaca College and a BA in Communications from San Diego State University.  Nicole has also had the opportunity to study permaculture in Brazil and participate in one of the founding cohorts in Seeds at City College program.  Nicole is passionate about preserving native spaces, edible landscapes, yoga & upcycling everything!  She currently works at a non-profit, Groundwork San Diego, where she manages a 4 acre outdoor learning laboratory.  In addition, she runs a native plant nursery, an after school garden club, a 20 tree fruit orchard and is currently installing a 1/4 acre farm.  Nicole also owns and operates Wabi Sabi Design Co., a local landscape design firm.
